Being a mentor in the aPLaNet project: become a platinum level mentor!

Dear future aPLaNet mentors,

I would like to warmly thank you on behalf of the aPLaNet team for showing interest in becoming a mentor in the aPLaNet project and to congratulate you for signing up to assist other colleagues in their professional development!

I hope that the experience of being a mentor will be rewarding for all of you.

If you haven’t been able to attend Graham's workshop on mentoring held online on Wednesday (23.11.2011), here is the link to the slide presentation, the recording will be available soon as well.

We are constantly thinking of ways of showing our appreciation for you volunteering to help other teachers on their way to becoming independent users of social networking and ICT tools.

To begin with, we have designed an aPLaNet mentor badge that will be awarded to all of our mentors. The badge will be sent to you so that you can put it on the aPLaNet Ning , on your own Ning, wiki, on your blog, social networking sites etc.

The badges will be awarded as follows:

Bronze for mentors having 1or 2 mentees

Silver for mentors having 3 to 5 mentees

Gold for mentors having 6 to 10 mentees

Platinum for mentors having more than 11 mentees

Coming soon: images with all the badges!

If you want to become an aPLaNet mentor or to find out more about what it means to be a mentor, sign up on our Ning and join the “Mentors” group!
